Animated betty boop naked8/27/2023 ![]() ![]() One gets the impression that the artist just didn't know what a deer is supposed to look like, but the result is funny. The deer is really bizarre-looking, with a blobby nose and undershot jaw, and a strange furry collar. Notable about this sequence is the crude rendering of the animals. Then Koko and Bimbo rush into Betty's cabin, and in one of the more jarring scenes in a cartoon, they stroke her leg while Koko exclaims, "Okay, baby, we'll fix you up!" Next ensues a long sequence of hunting and animal gags. Bimbo's heart does not appreciate the attention. When Bimbo and Koko hear Betty, their hearts sail up out of their bodies. Then they overhear the rest of Betty's song. Bimbo and Koko come up and shoot at the moose, who runs off. (In most cartoons, she is a city girl.) We find Betty Boop inside, playing a fine, rousing version of the tune " Then I'll Be Happy". The cartoon begins with a look at Betty Boop's little cabin in the woods. Boop-Oop-a-Doop!īetty Boop's twenty-second cartoon appearance is in this Talkartoon produced in 1932. Betty’s pet was a small white pup named Pudgy. Some of the information is Boop-Oop-a-Dooping full of SPOILERS. They could not have the appearance of bestiality. The Moral’s Code folks made Betty dump poor Bimbo. Betty was actually the supporting role in her first movie with Bimbo, but not unlike the Fonz, she ended up stealing the franchise. Although looking like a dog, Bimbo was actually a cat. Like the famous contradiction of Mickey Mouse having a dog friend, Goofy, as well as a dog pet, Pluto, Betty also had a boy friend named Bimbo, who talked and sang. But since "Boop-Oop-A-Doop" is the title of one of her cartoons from 1932, we would have to think this is the right version. Like the confusion about Jed Clampett’s famous “Weeeeeell Doggies”, Betty’s trademark line, "Boop-Oop-A-Doop", also has a number of versions, "boop-boop-a-doop", or "boop boop be, doo!", or even "boo boo be, doo!". ![]() Interesting Note: Mae Questal, the voice of Olive Oyl in the Popeye cartoon series, also did Betty's voice. And some of the newer pics have her with a ‘triple-D’ boob job. Betty Boop has continued to have strong merchandising power into the 21st century. Thanks to a Boop Renaissance in the 1990s, after a cameo in Roger Rabbit, her smiling image is showing up on everything from jewelry to slot machines. Her design was altered several times in response to critics of her hubba-hubba look, and over the years she became increasingly less saucy (and less popular). Boop was a big hit right away, and starred in over 100 cartoons from 1931 to 1939. The character was modeled after a combination of Helen Kane, the famous popular singer of the 1920s and contract player at Paramount Pictures (the studio that distributed Fleischer's cartoons), and Clara Bow, who was a popular actress in the 1920s. She made her debut on 8 August 1930 in "Dizzy Dishes," the sixth installment of the Talkartoon series. Oddly, Betty Boop began life as a dog, but by 1930 she had evolved into a coy flapper whose innocent skirt-lifting and curvaceous outfits were sweetly suggestive of more than just singing and dancing. This cutie was developed by Max Fleischer for Paramount Studio's Talkartoons cartoon series. Betty Boop was the first cartoon sex symbol. ![]()
